Spring is almost there:)

Recently strawberries from Baguio(a city located about 5 hours from Manila and cooler than here)

is getting sweeter because it's in the season!

So I am making strawberry sweets and feeling like spring 

even here in the Philippines has only summer:P

Sometimes I miss Japanese sweetest strawberries,but I think Philippines strawberries are good for making sweets,because they have a proper amount of sourness also:)

The sourness is well matching with the sweetness of sugar or the other things.


At that time,the amount of strawberries were not enough for this size (above)

we can see some opening space,but hum,it's good:)


Although I can buy strawberries form U.S. at the supermarket,

 I always choose Philippines one,I mean those from Baguio.

Because I guess even if the size is small and looks not very nice like U.S. strawberries,

it's still more fresh and safe..I am not sure my guessing is correct or not,but I believe so.

And  Yes,it's cheaper!! ha.

I prefer “local production for local consumption”!!


On the other day,I made another one. 

It's smaller than before,so I didn't need many strawberries and 

there was no opening space any more:P


And for this one,I changed recipe.

Instead of using almond powder,I used pistachio:)


So the color was green and it made my feeling more spring:))

It was so tasty:) Pistachio flavor worked very well!!


I also made strawberry Mille-Feuille:))

It's been a very long time since I made Mille-Feuille last.

It's about 4 years before..wow..time flies..


Since here in the Philippines,it's very hot,It was a bit hard to make a pie dough.

It was very easy the butter got melted..but somehow I could do it and be successful!


I invited my friends and enjoyed them:)


See!! so yummy!! heheee.


Can you see a clover?


At the first time,I was thinking that I put mint on it,so I bought some mints.

But I found some clovers were there in the package of mints!!

So I put clover on my Mille-Fuille:) Lovely,isn't is?

I wish it had four leaves..more happier I was:))



Anyway I am enjoying Strawberry season:)

Even we have no spring in the Philippines.
