Charlotte aux Marron
It has been a month since I had forth Home Cafe at my place!!
I forgot to post this..Time flies so fast.
On that day,I made “Charlotte aux Marron”,because I really missed Japanese autumn..
I like here Manila,I like summer, but sometimes I miss Japan, especially spring and autumn.
So it was the time I missed Japanese autumn.
I couldn't find Japanese chestnuts in here,so I used processed USDA chestnuts which I bought from S&R.It worked better than I had expected:)
About chestnuts cream,I could get in here, but one of my friends also gave me the other chestnuts cream that I couldn't get in here Manila,so I used both.
Very simple table coordinate:)
White ,silver and flowers!!
I decorated the plate a bit:)
It was what wanted to do. Like a dessert served at a restaurant:)
I brushed some cream and jam on the plate and some dried fruits and a chestnut on them.
This was nice:) I like this.
All the ingredients were matched in good ways!
I thought I was a genius! ha.
Inside was chestnuts mousse.
Although the size was quite huge,we could eat all at once.
It was so tasty!
We also enjoyed a Japanese traditional sweets “Konpeito”.
This is made by sugar but it had taken a time for making this.
It needs professional skills. Handmade sugar crafts!! Amaging, isn't is?
My sister gave me as a souvenir of Kyoto. It was also baked chestnuts taste:)
I found a chestnuts shop in the mall:)
I couldn't help buying these..because I am a chestnuts lover!!
It was not bad,but actually the size was a bit smaller than those I buy in Japan.
but still it was OK,because they are chestnuts:)
I also made“Marron Parfait” by using the rest of the chestnuts cream of Charlotte aux Marron.
I made three,so gave them to my friends as souvenirs for their husbands:)
How kind I am!! haha. Just a kidding!
I am happy just everyone enjoyed my sweets and had a wonderful time♡
Looking forward to having a next one:)
See you!
