Malasadas

After coming back to Manila,I sometimes come to want to eat Malasada!!

So,finally I tried to make those yesterday!

I could make..but these were not the same Malasada as I had had in Hawaii..

Unfortunately,something different..

It's a bit fluffy inside and a bit crunchy outside.

But authentic one was a bit chewy I think..

This is Leonard's bakery's one.

This is Kamehameha Bakery's one.

Actually Malasada is a doughnuts and it means also fried bread,

but Malasada is something different from the normal doughnuts and fried bread.

I need to improve more..

Since I made so many Malasadas(I think still they are just fried breads though),

I gave some of them to my friend;)

She also likes cooking and we are getting along well! I am feeling so:)

I hope she would like these..

Someday when I am getting to be able to make authentic Malasada,I will take them to her first!

It might be a long journey..I am still not sure well..

But I have a dream if I could make authentic Malasadas:)
